ONLINE PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE
An Online Public Information Centre (PIC) is being held as part of the Preliminary Design phase to present the study process, identify the preferred plan, existing conditions, anticipated impacts and proposed mitigation measures and receive input on the proposed improvements within the study area.

The Notice of Public Information Centre was advertised in Grey Bruce This Week on July 3rd, 2025. The Public Information Centre public review period is open from July 3rd, 2025 to August 1st, 2025.

The Notice of Public Information Centre can be found here.

The Public Information Centre presentation can be found here.

TRANSPORTATION ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY REPORT
The Study is following the approved planning process under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities (2000) for a Group ‘B’ project. This includes and assessment of potential impacts of the project works on the study area and the development of mitigation measures to address environmental concerns.

Upon completion of the Detail Design, a Transportation Environmental Study Report (TESR) will be prepared detailing the existing conditions, socio-economic environment of the study area, the evaluation of alternatives, identify the preferred plan, summary of design features, potential impacts of the undertaking, and required mitigation measures. The TESR will be made available for a 30-day review period.

At that time, a ‘Notice of TESR Completion’ will be published in
Grey Bruce This Week to explain the process and identify locations where the TESR can be reviewed. The TESR will be made available for viewing on this project website under Reports . If there are no outstanding concerns, the Study will be considered to have met the requirements of the MTO’s Detail Design and Class EA process and can proceed with Environmental Clearance.
